Valid Types of Ukrainian Visas

Transit Visa

A transit visa is issued if your passport contains a valid visa for the next country in your route or if you don’t need a visa for this country; in this case you must show the tickets for transportation to the country of your destination via Ukraine. A transit visa does not allow its holder to stay in Ukraine; it is assumed that the trip through Ukraine to the destination country cannot exceed 5 days for one or several entries. Transit visas are useful when Ukraine is a transit country of your trip. A transit visa cannot be extended on Ukrainian territory.

Private Visa

A private visa is for guest visits. It is issued on the basis of an initial invitation for the applicant from a Ukrainian resident issued by local visa and registration departments. Invitations must be original, consulates do not accept electronic or fax copies. The visa holder is allowed to stay on Ukrainian territory for up to 180 days. A private Ukrainian visa can be extended on Ukrainian territory, provided there are serious reasons for this (marriage, illness, etc.).

Business Visa

A business visa is issued for business visits to Ukraine based on an invitation from a legal business registered in Ukraine in accordance with Ukrainian instructions and in possession of a copy of the company’s State Registration Certificate. Most consulates accept fax copies of these documents. The visa holder is authorized to stay in Ukraine for one year. A business visa is useful if you have a branch in Ukraine and/or you need to make frequent and long-term visits to Ukraine. A business visa can be extended on Ukrainian territory upon request of the inviting party that must apply to its local visa and registration department.

Tourist Visa

A tourist visa is issued for visiting Ukraine for the purpose of tourism. The visa holder is allowed to stay in Ukraine up to 180 days for one or two entries. A tourist visa is issued based on an invitation from a tourist agency or hotel vouchers that prove hotel booking.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MULTICHOICE GROUP CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR VISA ISSUE BY THE EMBASSY/CONSULATE.
